Accidental Backgrounds for the Inverse Beta Decay Events in Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment

In Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment, the neutrino mixing angle θ13 can be independently measured by the inverse beta decay (IBD) process with the final-state neutron captured by the hydrogen. The largest background in such an analysis is the accidental background where a pair of single events accidentally satisfy the timing and energy selection criteria for IBD events.
