Spectrum Analysis of Gold and Titanium Nitride Nanodisks Arrays

Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) has received much attention. Because this phenomenon can generate a strong localized electromagnetic field. Such a strong localized field can be used in many applications.
In this FEM simulation study, we used nanodisks as our structure, because of its high symmetry in every direct. In material, we compare gold and titanium nitride as the material of our nanodisks structure. Because Titanium Nitride has much variety in science applications, it is important to know the near-field and far-field EM distribution of Titanium Nitride nanodisks. FBy the simulation result of Au nanodisks, we found the resonance wavelength occur red shift when period become longer. Then we found the much noise in glass substrate’s spectrum at wavelength at 400nm to 600nm, but the noise would vanish when substrate is air. Finally, we change the layers number of nanodisks with different materials, like Cr or Ti. By the result, we found the blue shift when layers number increases.
